A unique, dog friendly café in the heart of Colwyn Bay
Colwyn Bay, a town situated along the stunning North Wales coastline, boasts not only breath taking beach but also a vibrant, growing, cultural scene. Among the gems that contribute to the town's growing artistic pull is the Ink Art Gallery and Lounge—an establishment that transcends traditional gallery norms and are welcoming of our four-legged friends.
Ink Art Gallery and Lounge isn't just a space to admire artwork; it's an immersive experience that begins the moment you step through the door. The ambiance is a seamless blend of contemporary chic and artistic allure, creating an atmosphere that invites both seasoned art enthusiasts and casual visitors alike. The curated selection of artwork adorning the walls serves as a testament to the diverse and dynamic local art scene. And better yet, there's always a smile and a welcome treat ready for your dog.
Local and International Talent
At the heart of Ink lies a commitment to showcasing the talents of local and international artists. The small, yet mighty, gallery's ever-evolving exhibitions feature a variety of mediums.. The carefully curated displays not only celebrate the creativity within Colwyn Bay but also introduce patrons to a global spectrum of artistic expression.
Lounge Vibes for Creative Minds
What sets Ink apart is its dual identity as both a gallery and a lounge. The space seamlessly transitions from an art haven and dog friendly café by day to a social hub by night. The lounge area, adorned with comfortable seating, offers opportunities to draw, play board games and provides an ideal setting for art enthusiasts and casual patrons alike to unwind, discuss whilst sipping on coffee, or should you prefer, an alcoholic beverage. It's also important to note that not only is the lounge dog friendly, but welcoming of children too. In fact they have art work from local schools on display too.
Food and Drink at Ink Colwyn Bay
The lounge has some funky yet smart offerings, not equipped with a full kitchen to offer the usual day time café delights they have cleverly thought outside of the box (you'd expect nothing less of them) with a range of cakes, sweets and instant noodles on offer. They offer both hot drinks, cold and alcoholic beverages.
Community Engagements and Workshops
Ink Art Gallery and Lounge also appears to be an active participant in fostering community engagement. They work hard to provide regular art workshops, talks, and more so enthusiasts can connect, learn, and create. This commitment to community development solidifies Ink's role as a cultural cornerstone in Colwyn Bay.
A favourite pit stop of ours
Ink Art Gallery and Lounge stands as a testament to Colwyn Bay's evolving cultural landscape. It's more than just a gallery; it's a living, breathing testament to the creativity and community spirit. Due to it's chilled and friendly atmosphere its one of our favourite places for a pit stop with out pooch.
